Sweat Equity is a distance training group based in York. It is aimed at experienced runners who can run 10k and are looking to run longer distances. See below for some of the events our runners have taken part in.
Membership runs from January to December and provides a structured and progressive training program which targets the main Spring and Autumn half marathon and marathon events. Attendance is not compulsory, this is a relaxed and friendly group who train together to help each other achieve their goals.
The program includes:
- Sunday morning distance training, with drinks and nutrition stops during and after the run.
- Wednesday evening hill training from October to April.
- Thursday evening track sessions at the University of York, through our partnership with City of York Athletic Club.
- Discounted sports massage clinics.
- Workshops and seminars.
